Quiz Night Friday 21st October
A very good evening well attended and enjoyed by all.
Congratulations to Clive Copeman's winning team and many thank's to Chris and David Farrall for organising it.
Hi Everyone,
The Winter Doubles ladder will be starting soon, and we have 16 players, so
all places are currently filled.
The ladder will take place every week on Wednesday evenings, starting at
7pm. We will be using just courts 5 and 6 with the new lights, and balls will be
provided by the club. A £2.00 charge will be collected at the start of each
session, so please bring some change!! Please read the attached rules for
details of the format used!
The ladder will start again on 11th Jan 2012, but I will send all the New
Year dates out to you later.
Remember, if you switch between Divs 2 and 3 then you could find yourself
playing on two consecutive weeks, and/or the fortnightly Wednesdays that you are
needed changing!!
If you already know that you cannot do some dates then start looking for a
substitute now. You can use any member of the Club as a sub, but once I have
compiled it I shall try and send out a list of likely pool players to act as
inspiration if needed.
I cannot stress enough, it is the players responsibility to find
substitutes, NOT MINE!!
Kind regards
Hi All,
Below is a list out of my head of people who might be able to provide cover
for Wednesday nights in the event that any of you cannot make a particular
date.
I have not checked with these people that they are OK to provide cover, but
I'm sure that most of them would help out if they could.
You can use any Club member who is not involved on your particular date,
including those that are involved in the other two non-playing divisions, but
remember the following factors:
A sub cannot be promoted.
If a sub wins a group then the second placed (regular) player will be
promoted.
Sub will need to pay £2.00 fee, so remember to warn them!!

Tournaments
Please note there will be American tournaments and events held throughout the year.
If we successfully run the above events, as a minimum toward future developments, we should raise over £1100; clearly it will take several years to gather more money together but that's what we said 7 years ago when development started!
If anyone has any other ideas on fund raising - please contact Val.
