For the National Junior Club League & South Cheshire Junior League, there was an increase of 25% on junior teams entered compared to 2007. Thanks to all parents who ran teams. Congratulations to the 14U Boys 3^rdteam in the S Ches Jnr Lge who won their Division, the team being run by Gill Cooper. Lots of our other teams came 2^nd and 3^rd in the League placings.

It is Mini Tennis and the younger Juniors that the Club has excelled in – numerous players have trained extremely hard and competed regularly in Ches. competitions: Jamie Oakes, Luke Gidion, Maddie Pollen, James Bloomer, Harry Beavan, Matthew Whittaker, Patrick Nevill, Lauren Burgess, Hetta Friend & Robin Bloomer.

Major achievement: Jamie Oakes, Maddie Pollen,Caroline Bromley and Robin Bloomer have all been selected and played for theCounty, Robin being only 6 years of age!!

In the Monkhouse Shield competition the Boys team lost in the semi-finals to Congleton and the Girls team (Megan Sloan, Katherine Baker, Lucy Brown and Charlotte Baker) narrowly lost in the Final against Port Sunlight.

It is so good to see the more mature Juniors attending Adult Club Nights on a regular basis and also the select few playing in the Adults teams.
